Meet Your Teacher

This isn't just a class.
It's a conversation.

Native Spanish speakerB.A. Spanish Language & Literature, UCLA20+ years teaching childrenCPR / First Aid certified

I grew up speaking Spanish — it's the language of my family, my childhood, my favorite foods and stories. After earning my degree at UCLA and spending more than two decades teaching kids, I realized something:

Most Spanish programs for kids teach them words. Very few teach them to actually speak.

Franco Academy is built on one idea: children learn to speak by speaking. Small groups, twice a week, real conversations — and a classroom that sounds less like a lecture and more like recess in Spanish. My promise to every family: your child will leave not just knowing Spanish words, but using them.

My promise to every family

Your child will leave not just knowing Spanish words — but using them, in real conversations, with real confidence.

Why Parents Choose Us

Built on what actually works.

Six reasons families come back — and tell their friends.

Conversation-first, always

No worksheets, no drills. Every class is built around kids actually talking — asking, answering, joking, and thinking in Spanish from minute one.

Twice a week is the magic number

Once a week, kids forget. Twice a week, it sticks. Two 50-minute classes keep Spanish alive between sessions without overloading busy family schedules.

A teacher who's led the way for 20+ years

Native Spanish speaker with a UCLA degree in Spanish Language & Literature and two decades of experience teaching children. This is his craft, not a side gig.

Max 8 kids per group

Small enough that every child speaks every class. Big enough for games, partners, and real back-and-forth conversation. Seats are first come, first served.

Grouped by age, not mixed

Ages 5–7 and 8–12 learn completely differently. Each group gets its own class, its own pace, and its own style — never one-size-fits-all.

Progress you can hear

Every month ends with a mini showcase — your child performs a real conversation in Spanish. You don't have to take our word for it. You'll hear it.

The Vibe

A class that sounds like recess.

Laughter, games, and constant conversation. Spanish lives best when kids are having too much fun to notice they're learning.

Conversation Themes

Every month, a new conversation.

Classes rotate through real-life themes across the semester — so the Spanish your child learns is the Spanish they'll actually use.

1👋

Mis Amigos

My friends

Greetings, introductions, feelings, and the language of friendship. Kids learn to meet someone new, ask how they are, and keep a conversation going.

Phrases your child will use
¡Hola! ¿Cómo estás?Me llamo…¿Quieres jugar?
2🍎

La Comida

Food & flavors

Ordering, preferences, likes and dislikes. From pretend restaurants to snack-time chats, kids learn the Spanish they'd use at any table.

Phrases your child will use
Tengo hambre.Me gusta la pizza.¿Qué quieres comer?
3🏠

Mi Familia y Mi Casa

Family & home

Phrases your child will use
¡Te toca!¡Yo gané!¿Jugamos otra vez?
5🌎

El Mundo Hispano

The Spanish-speaking world

¿De dónde eres?¡Qué interesante!Quiero viajar.

Every month ends with a mini showcase — your child performs a real conversation, entirely in Spanish.

Inside a Class

Short enough to fit any school night. Structured enough that every child speaks Spanish every single class.
